Xiaomi launched their new smartphone as Redmi Note 5. Here are the specifications 

and my views on Redmi note 5.

• REAR camera is of 12MP with f/2.2 aperture and duel LED flash with 5-element lens.
• FRONT camera is of 5MP hosing face recognition feature and is capable of recording videos at 720p/1080p with 30fps.

Redmi Note 5 is available in Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold color. 

Both these variants are available exclusively via Flipkart and Xiaomi official website. 

MY VIEW'S

PROS

• The build quality of this smart phone is very good considering its price. 
• The battery life is great and is even better then Redmi Note 5 Pro. 
• You will get almost 1.5 - 2 days of battery life max. for a decent user. 
• The camera performance is Decent, considering it's price. 
• Support Fast charging. 

CONS

• Camera is decent but not great, so if camera is the highest priority then Redmi Note 5 is not a great choice.
• Due to the presence of hybrid dual-SIM we don't get the option of adding 2 SIM's and an SD card simultaneously
• The processor given is an old one that is the Snapdragon 625, which was used in Redmi note 4.
• Due to the custom UI and preinstalled bloatware the phone might lag in future.
• In absence of dual camera there is no feature of portrait mode.
